Since our founding in 2001 at the University of Illinois Springfield, we have brought justice to 34 innocent people who were convicted and imprisoned in Illinois for crimes they did not commit.

We teach law enforcement about wrongful conviction of innocent people

Our state-mandated Wrongful Conviction Awareness and Avoidance police training program is the only of its kind in the nation, educating law enforcement about how wrongful convictions happen and best practices to avoid them.
